The Quiksilver & Roxy Junior Pro Returns to Hossegor–Capbreton
The next generation of European surfers is back on the Landes coast! From July 3 to 5, 2026, the Quiksilver & Roxy Junior Pro will bring together some of Europe’s best male and female surfers under the age of 21 in Capbreton, just a few minutes from Hossegor.
This World Surf League (WSL) Junior event is the perfect opportunity to witness the performances of the future world surfing champions. Expect spectacular maneuvers, hard-fought heats, and a unique atmosphere on the beaches of the southern coast of the Landes region.
Among the French female surfers to watch this summer are Naïa Monte and Lily Hirigoyen, two of the most promising young talents in French surfing. The official list of competitors, published shortly before the start of the event, will determine which French male and female surfers will represent France and compete for valuable points in the WSL Junior rankings against Europe’s top up-and-coming surfers under 21.

Early July is one of the best times to soak up the surf scene in Hossegor. While Europe’s top junior surfers compete in the waves at Capbreton, Hossegor’s beaches offer excellent conditions for learning to surf or honing your skills.

Many visitors choose to take a surfing lesson in the morning or afternoon before heading to the beach to watch the heats of the Quiksilver & Roxy Junior Pro. It’s a great way to soak up the atmosphere that makes Hossegor and Capbreton must-visit surfing destinations in Europe.
Where can I find the competition?
The 2026 Quiksilver & Roxy Junior Pro is taking place at Santocha Beach in Capbreton, less than 10 minutes from Hossegor. This iconic spot on the Landes coast is renowned for the quality and power of its waves, making it an ideal playground for Europe’s top young surfers.
Admission is free and open to the public. Throughout the event, the beach will also host entertainment, concerts, film screenings, and various activities centered around surf culture, creating a friendly atmosphere for the whole family.
If you're staying in Hossegor, take the opportunity to watch the waves before or after your surf lesson. Santocha Beach is easily accessible by bike, car, or via the bike paths connecting Hossegor and Capbreton.
